The Merrymount Association’s 100 Year Anniversary Bash was the party of the year (decade?). Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make the night truly special and one to remember. The party would not have been possible without the 100 Year Committee - Lawuan Harris, Amy Bacchieri, Meaghan Sturtevant, Kellie Glynn-Burke, and Paige Reilly.
The Decoration Committee (Meaghan, Kirsten Flaherty, and Maryellen Harris) had the venue looking amazing and went above and beyond. Thank you to everyone who helped before, during, and after as well. And finally, thanks to everyone who attended and dressed the part!
Here’s to another 100 Years!

Thanks to the 175 households who have paid membership dues in 2024. We are halfway to our goal of 350 households for the Association’s 100 year anniversary. Please pay dues ASAP to participate in all we have planned for 2024!
The Merrymount Association 2024 membership drive is now underway and we ask that you please pay your annual dues as soon as possible to help make this year another year to remember in Merrymount! Our goal this year is 350 household memberships and to help drive that goal we are bringing back the early pay discount for dues paid before April 1.
We need strong membership support to ensure the Association's finances remain solid and that projects and improvements at the Beach can continue in 2024 as we celebrate our 100 year anniversary!
In 2023, we continued our improvements to the Beach property with additional landscaping, lighting, and work on the shack. We also added a custom designed fire-pit and a big screen TV to have watch parties at the Beach.
Taxes, insurance, utilities, and property maintenance costs continue to rise each year as well, so please know how valuable and important your dues are to the upkeep and beautification of Merrymount Beach.
In 2024, we're also looking forward to additional Beach improvements and another full slate of events again this year.
In addition to all the great events below, we are very excited to celebrate our 100 year anniversary with the 100 Year Bash at the Neighborhood Club on April 6 - more details to come on tickets in the coming weeks. We are also planning a 100 Year Beach Party later in the summer/early fall for a more casual (and kid friendly) event to celebrate the Association. Please keep an eye out also for fundraising details in the weeks to come as we hope to bolster the Association's finances for some exciting projects ahead.
We'll also plan on the following: Polar Plunge at the Beach, Winter Warmup at Fox and Hound, Mardi Gras celebration at the Pour Yard, Bruins Watch Party, St. Patrick's Day Party, Winter Weekend to New Hampshire, Easter Egg Hunt, Freedom Beach Celebration and Junior Olympics, July 4th Parade, Family Fun Day at the Beach, Food Truck and Live Music Nights, Movie Night/Campout, Beach Market and Beer Garden, Fall Festival & Halloween Kids Party, Patriot's Tailgate, Turkey Trot, Ugly Sweater Party, Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides, and more! Have an idea for another event? Let us know and help organize it!
Please pay your dues online via Paypal at www.merrymountquincy.com/membership or by sending in the attached membership form and check for dues to 11 Hobomack Road. Please make the check payable to “Merrymount Association.”
The Board welcomed several new members in 2023 and a number of dedicated neighbors stepped down after many years of volunteering. But, all of the event organizing and running cannot be done by Board members alone - please also get involved and volunteer to make all of these events a success, we always need a hand!!
All the best,

BEACH IMPROVEMENTS
Check out the pictures below of the before and after of our beach improvement at Merrymount Beach. You’ll find an expanded patio, new plantings, restored and enhanced slope toward the beach, and a new tree to provide much needed shade in the play area. Still to come will be another new picnic table and hopefully more landscaping through the season as we see how everything grows.
PLEASE, please, please, and pretty please stay off and out of the newly planted beds and gardens. Dogs must be leashed at the beach. Please use the two sets of steps to get to the beach and don’t walk down the newly planted slopes.
Thank you to all who have paid their dues this year as that makes beach improvements possible. For those who have not, please do so here: http://www.merrymountquincy.com/membership.html
Beach improvements continue with a granite ramp down to the beach - perfect for your kayak or stroller! Thank you to Joe Connor for the vision on this part of the project and for MJ Nicholls Landscaping for all their work at the beach this spring. Please a continued reminder to stay out of the newly planted garden beds and to keep your dogs leashed at the beach!
