July 1st Update!
MERRYMOUNT FREEDOM CELEBRATION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Merrymount Association is calling all volunteers for our biggest events of the year! On Saturday July 1, we'll have the Freedom Run at 9AM, the Junior Olympics at 10AM (after the run ends), and the Beach Celebration at 5PM.
The Freedom Celebration is the highlight of the summer for the neighborhood. The Association Board spends countless hours planning and running these events, but we NEED volunteers to make the day and night a success for all. We get it - everyone is busy, everyone has their own kids, etc., but these events won't continue if the neighborhood doesn't step up to help!

July 4 Parade
Monday; July 4, 2022
12:00 PM
Float registration is now open for our annual July 4th neighborhood parade with this year's theme as "Summertime and the Livin' is Easy in Merrymount". Please signup at the following link - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4caaaa2ca0fd0-july2
We're asking for name, email address, and home address so we can drop off a check for $100 to help with costs for the float/costumes/props, adult beverages, etc.
Let's celebrate all we love about summers in Merrymount - the Beach, BBQs with neighbors, Association events, Flag Day, July 4th, Boating, etc.!
We want to stress how informal the parade is - you do not need a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float to enter - a car, boat, bikes, strollers, wagons, your own two feet, etc. are all encouraged! Multiple streets can join together to enter a "float." Please talk to your neighbors about entering and let us know if you know of any other youth groups or organizations that might also want to participate.
Setup for the parade begins at 12PM at Merrymount Elementary School and the Parade steps off at 12:30 (half hour earlier!!) and concludes at Merrymount Beach by 1:30 (there will be no ceremony at the Beach this year afterwards).
The parade route is as follows - Merrymount School on Agawam Rd., to Narragansett Rd., to Chickatabot Rd., to Norton Rd., to Sea St., to Samoset Rd. to Longwood Rd., to Moreland Rd., to Waban Rd., to Maypole Rd., to Squanto Rd., to Victoria Rd., and finally to Merrymount Beach.
If you live on this route - please do not park your car on the street during the parade!
Please talk to neighbors and get signed up soon!
